George's Diary Day 3

Wellington camp 2014.
Carter observatory.
Day 3.

One of the highlights of our Wellington camp was the visit to Carter Observatory.
From the outside it did not look to special, but once inside the incredible digital planetarium our minds were changed. Once we were in our comfy seats the circular screen on the ceiling switched on and space was right before our eyes. One of the other cool features of the room was the screen could rotate and zoom in and out on the planets we wanted to see, Also at the back of the room was a helpful guide who narrated our journey through space with great detail.

After our space tour we went to our classroom where we were greated by a friendly guy named Troy. Once settled we were asked questions about which planets were closest to the sun when we couldn’t answer he gave us easy and understandable answers.

Once our lesson was finished we explored the gift shop after about ten minutes we exited the observatory our heads filled with knowledge.
